I highly recommend getting the Cowin E-7 if you are looking for a pair of affordable headsets that sound and look good at a price that does not break the bank. In terms of design, The Cowin E-7 seems cool, I like the Black and Chrome mix, but that is pretty subjective.

Sony has been at the forefront of sound technology for perhaps for 2 decades at this point. I remember using my Sony walkman back when I was a wee lad. Ah, good ol’ days. Anyways, point being, Sony always provides you with quality products and the Sony MDR RF811RK is no different.

These wireless headphones have an awesome little feature which is their self-adjusting headband, so you do not have to worry about them falling, thus allowing you to move around freely. Overall, the design is classic Sony, and they look and feel good around your ears even while wearing them for multiple hours.

These wireless headphones have Bluetooth along with a 3.5mm jack so you can use them however you want. Coming to the sound, these Sony MDR RF811RK equipped a 40 mm neodymium driver which results in an amazing sound with great bass. The bass isn’t overpowering or anything like that, however, it is just enough, and I would describe the sound to be a perfect balance.

The mids and trebles sound good, you know, that is why I said it has got the perfect “balance” sound along with a battery life of 13 hours of constant running which should be more than enough. When you start paying the big bucks for a product, you start expecting big-buck performance as well and these Bose 700 headphones certainly deliver. These best headphones for movies are a big jump from their predecessor in terms of sheer looks, and I find them much more appealing.

This one is available in three colors. The headband on these is made up of stainless steel while the ear cups themselves are made of soft-touch plastic and the cushioning on these plentiful, being made of faux-leather, wearing them for longer durations is no problem. They feel premium.

Some people complain about them being rather heavy, but I did not feel that you might still want to try them out yourself first. You will find operational buttons, an LED status light, and a touch-sensitive pad located on the earcup’s outer panel outside the cup.

A major selling point of this over-ear Bose 700 headphones is their active noise cancellation technology. There are 11 levels of this ANC; however, I feel it is hard to tell the difference individually. This is the case with most ANC headphones, not a problem exclusive to these. However, you will probably find yourself using either level 0, 5 or 10.  

I find level 10 to be quite effective as you can barely hear anything outside and needless to say, the mic itself is made in such a way that it focuses on your voice alone and ignores other noises and the headphones themselves have Alexa enabled.

Coming to the sound, the sound performance I feel is more bass orientated rather than a true balance which works out fine for a bass head like myself, but purists might prefer a more “appropriately balanced” sound. Except for that heavy price tag, I got almost no complaints.

The Avantree HT4189 is a brilliant pick for those looking for a pair of hassle headphones that will make watching movies and shows simple. I think it looks cool and I think gamers, especially, would like it.

6. AVANTREE HT4189 WIRELESS HEADPHONES

The Artiste AHD300 are certainly….artisty. Okay, terrible. They are certainly a but artisty with their oval-shaped design instead of the traditional circular and square shape. That may be a plus for you, which may be negative, entirely up to your personal preference.

The ADH300 market themselves as a TV Headphones so yeah, naturally, that means for movies. I will tell you these, and these are the most simple, basic wireless headphones I have seen which, in my opinion, makes them good for elderly people or those that don’t want to deal with “technology”.

There are a minimum number of buttons, and when you want to charge them, you can simply place them in their charging deck or base station whatever you might want to call it which, admittedly, does feel cool to do. Adding more to the ease of these headphones, they are very comfortable.

The cushioning is very plush, there is a protein shell to deal with any sweat, and the headband is heavily padded, making them quite nice to wear over longer durations.

Talking about their performance, they have a great 20 hours battery life with a 100m range. In terms of sound, they lack bass, but that is expected from a budget headphone, and they can get loud, which I think is another advantage for older folks. Music fans might not find these to be the best headphones, but they are well suited for casual TV and movie watching.

Hands down one of the best headphones on this list and overall, definitely in my and should be in your top 3. I expected nothing else from a brand as reputed in the world of audio as Sennheiser and these RS 175 RF wireless headphones certainly deliver. These headphones feel like they were made for TV watchers.

The dock or base station can connect directly to many television sets and supports aux and is quite lightweight. You can just set your headphones on the dock when they are not being used, and they will start charging. The battery life depends upon certain factors but its approximately 16 to 18 hours under realistic use.

The RS 175 has an over-ear fit with comfortable ear cups cushioned via soft memory foam padding, you will find the same on the headband, and both are covered in PU leather, so these are comfortable and look pretty decent as well. Coming to the sound, it is loud and clear, in very basic terms. Sennheiser makes some quality products with their major focus being sound quality, and that practice is a full display here. No latency in the sound and what surprised me was it has really good surround and bass to use this even for gaming. I am a fan!

8. SONY WH-CH710N NOISE CANCELLING HEADPHONES

As I stated above, I am a big fan of Sony products and the WH-CH710N are the first Bluetooth headphones that I owned, and I loved every bit of it. These headphones are, unfortunately, entirely plastic, which is the only thing I disliked personally. Still, plastic reduces the weight a lot, and most headphones are usually plastic at this price range.

The sound is what I cared for, and it certainly met my expectations. It has got 30mm drivers resulting in a sound which is rich, clear and bass-heavy. These are quite comfortable to wear, and I wouldn’t mind calling them the best headphones for movies… at this price.

I do not have anything outrightly great to say about these headphones. There is nothing wrong with these, it’s just that there isn’t anything special either. The Avantree HT5009 is a basic pair of Bluetooth headphones with a price tag that seems expensive for what is being offered. The sound they offer is decent and does the job, but there is no active noise cancellation which is a shame cause headphones much cheaper do offer that.

I felt some lack of bass, so music lovers might want to look elsewhere. It seems I am too rough on them, and they aren’t bad by any means. The design is cool, looks classy to me, and they somehow manage to be just as comfortable, which is a plus. Their battery life is good with 40 hours in a go and a 20-day standby! So, if you want something specifically for watching TV, I think these would do. Anything else though, perhaps not the best choice.

These are an expensive pair of headphones trying to capture the ANC market, and they are a solid competition. The Bowers & Wilkins PX5 is a pair of really versatile headphones. Made mostly of plastic, carbon fibre and leather, these headphones do feel premium naturally.

The sound quality is also amazing, but I feel the noise cancellation cancels out heavy noises like traffic or low-frequency sounds but not the basic drops and noises which, again, maybe a plus for some people. The sound signature on these might not be everyone so you might want to try them out first. A one-for-everything headphone is how I would describe them.
