1. For self filming hunts with GoPro, I would recommend using a 1080p 60fps resolution, either in a medium/wide view. But I prefer a medium view because it will make the subject look closer to you. So, you can focus on the subject accurately.
You could also opt for shooting in 4k; however, I feel 1080p video capture resolution is sufficient for filming hunts. The reason behind going for 60fps is because that’s exactly the speed to capture footage of ducks wobbling in a lake or deer munching on grass. A minimum of 60fps is a must because older GoPros don’t have any stabilization system and if you’re going to lower the frame rate, then be sure you’re going to see much blurry footage in your videos.
Note: In situations where the animal is stationary, a 1080p 30fps is sufficient. But remember, this is only for slow-action shots.
