NVIDIA G-Sync technology is compatible with this monitor that allows fast rendering and smooth fluid motions in VVR games. When you enable this setting, all the visuals or artifacts will have a smooth texture and no flickers, all thanks to its 144Hz frame rate that reduces screen tearing or shuttering that may happen if the fps is not met during any fast-paced games. 

VESA Display HDR™ 400 certification ensures the perfect color gamut and contrast of every image that appears on the screen. VRB technology is the highlight of this monitor, which is equivalent to 1ms MRPT. What it does is control motion blur in fast-moving objects so that you don’t see doubling of objects in fast-paced games. When you enable the VRB mode, you are enabling each frame to appear in a 1millisecond response time which is not at all noticeable to the human eye.

Design and Connectivity

The Acer Nitro XV272U is a simple yet stylish flat-screen monitor with 3-sided thin bezels and a thicker bezel at the bottom. The stand on which this monitor sits is metal built that ensures maximum stability and less wobble of the screen. The back of this monitor is not very fibrous, unlike most gaming monitors. Therefore, this monitor is also suitable for the r office environment.

The build quality of this monitor is not highly promising due to its use of mediocre quality plastic and metal stand. Overall, I can say the build quality of this monitor is average, but the ergonomics are not disappointing at all. You get excellent ergonomic features on this model with all sorts of adjustments. The height adjustment of this monitor is 4.7” (120mm), which can be adjusted as per the user’s preference. 

The display works best in both landscape and portrait mode, making viewing much easier even from a few inch distance. With this monitor, or you get VESA mount compatibility, -25° to +5° tilt range and swivel range -180° to +180°, which is not provided in all gaming monitors. The stand has a metal plate that allows the monitor to swivel in the ful360-degree swing.

The Acer Nitro XV272U monitor offers plenty of connectivity options, including HDMI, 2X HDMI-in, 1 DisplayPort, 1 USB 3.0 Upstream, 4 USB 3.0 Downstream, and 2x 2 W integrated speakers. FreeSyn works best with 1.2 DisplayPort and HDMI; NVIDIA G-Sync works only on DisplayPort.
